Tage Peterson was a member of the Azusa Pacific Men's Track & Field team from 1994-1998. Peterson is a five-time NAIA Track & Field champion, and a 17-time NAIA All-American, excelling in the decathlon, pentathlon, and long jump. Peterson was a member of the 1995 NAIA Outdoor Track & Field National Championship team and won the NAIA individual championships in the decathlon (1998), pentathlon (1995 & 1996) and the long jump (1994 & 1998). At the 1995 Mt. SAC records, Peterson set the Azusa Pacific record in the decathlon at 7,788 points. Peterson also holds the NAIA record in the decathlon long jump with a 24' 8 1/2" jump. In 1996, Peterson qualified for the U.S. Olympic Trials in decathlon, finishing 16th in Atlanta as a 21-year old.
