Denise Duncan was a member of the Azusa Pacific Women's Basketball team from 1982-1986. She was a two time NAIA All District 3 Team member, and NAIA All-American Honorable Mention in 1986. Duncan graduated as the first Cougar ever to finish among the top two in career points, rebounds, and assists. Over the course of her career, she averaged 11.9 points per game, 6.1 rebounds per game, and 3.3 assists per game. In 1986, she led the Cougars to their first 30-win season and a trip to the NAIA National Championships Tournament. On February 8, 1986, in a game against Point Loma University, she recorded the first triple-double in program history with 20 points, 11 rebounds, and 10 assists.
