Hall of Fame
Mike Barnett was a member of the Azusa Pacific Track & Field team from 1980-1983. During his career at Azusa Pacific, he won four consecutive NAIA National Javelin Championships. He won the U.S. junior and Junior Pan-American Games Javelin Championships in 1980. He set the Azusa Pacific Athletics record with a throw of 296 feet, 5 inches. His accomplishments at Azusa Pacific earned him an induction into the NAIA Hall of Fame. Barnett was a member of the United States Olympic Track & Field team. He is a two-time U.S. National Javelin champion. In the 1992 Summer Olympic Games, he finished seventh in the Javelin.
