Bob Storey was a two-sport standout who was elected to the Azusa Pacific Athletics Hall of Fame in 1991. As a student-athlete at Azusa Pacific from 1968-1971, Storey was a member of the Cougar football and baseball teams. Although slowed by injuries during his final two seasons, Storey nonetheless set Cougar career receiving records for receptions (140), yards (1,839) and touchdowns (13). He averaged 13.1 yards a grab. In his first two seasons, he totaled 95 catches and 1,300 yards with 9 TDs while averaging over 14 yards a catch. His younger brother, Bill, teamed with Bob over his final two season of Cougar football. As a member of the baseball team, Bob led the team with a .351 average during his first season. Over his 113 game career as an outfielder, he finished a career .293 batting average. After graduation from APU, Storey spent some brief time with the Portland Storms of the World Football League. He then played 4 seasons of semi-pro football in the Continental Football League.
