Kendra Payne was a member of the Azusa Pacific Women's Soccer team from 1997-2000. She is the first four-time NAIA All-American in Cougar Women's Soccer history, and was the first Cougar Women's Soccer player to ever be named NAIA Player of the Year after earning the award in 1998. In that special 1998 season for Payne, she scored 21 of the Cougars single-season record 119 goals on the season, she would go on to lead the Women's Soccer team to an unbeaten season and their first NAIA National Championship. She is the only three-time winner of the Golden State Athletic Conference Player of the Year in the GSAC history. Over the course of her career she set the Cougar career records for goals (90), assists (52), and points (232). She also set the single-season records for goals, later broken, assists, and points in her 2000 senior season with a 25-goal , 18 assist campaign. She was a three-time NAIA All-Tournament selection, who was twice named tournament MVP.
