Gordon Billingsley was a member of the Azusa Pacific Men's Basketball team from 1971-1973. Throughout his career at Azusa Pacific, Billingsley appeared in 66 games over 2 years, averaging 11.7 points and 5.4 rebounds per game. He set a then school-record for the highest free throw percentage at .811 (231-285).  Billingsley was a two-year starter, who helped advance Azusa Pacific to consecutive National Christian College Tournaments. He would also help the Cougars win their fourth consecutive NCCAA title in 1972 and  finish as NCCAA runner-up in 1973. Billingsley was the Cougar's third-leading scorer and rebounder with 14.1 points and 6.2 rebounds per game as a senior in 1973, earning him an NAIA All District 3 honorable mention.
