Stephanie Alpenia Bonomi was a member of the Azusa Pacific Women's Volleyball team from 1979-1982. She was a starter for the 1979 Azusa Pacific College AIAW Division III National Championship team. She was a starter for the 1980 Azusa Pacific College team that won its first-ever NAIA National Volleyball Championship. She was named the Most Valuable Player at the 1980 National Volleyball tournament. She helped lead the team to a second place finish at the 1980 AIAW championships. She earned NAIA All-America honors in 1981 and 1982, being named to the First-Team All America in 1981, and received an honorable mention honor in 1982. She will go down as one of the most successful collegiate volleyball players in Azusa Pacific's school history, resulting in her induction into the Azusa Pacific Athletics Hall of Fame in 1993.
