Hall of Fame
Gary Prestesater was inducted into the Azusa Pacific Athletics Hall of Fame in 1993. Prestesater, was a member of the Azusa College Basketball team from 1963-1965. Throughout his career he scored 1,485 points, averaging 31.6 points per game. He helped lead Azusa College to two consecutive GSAA regular season co-championships. In one notable game during his career at Azusa College, he scored a single-game high of 62 points. In 1963-1964 season was a memorable one for Prestesater, as he earned the Associate Press and United Press international small college All-America honors. He was recognized as an All-American, in result of leading the Nation's Small College players in scoring average (33.8), compiling 1,015 points during that season, and shot 87.2 percent from the free-throw line.
