Fatimat Yusuf was a silver medalist in the 4x400 relay for Nigeria, and finalist in the 400 meter at the 1996 Olympics.  During her Olympic career, she was also a member of the Azusa Pacific's Women's Track & Field team from 1994-1996. Yusuf was a Ten-time NAIA All-American and Seven-time NAIA Champion in the 200 meters and 400 meters. Throughout her career, she set the NAIA records; in the indoor (53.05) and outdoor (51.44) 400 meters and Azusa Pacific Records in the; 100 (11.36), 200 (22.74), and 400 (51.44) meters.  In 1990, she was the World No.1-ranked junior in the 400 meters. At the international level, she was a seven-time African Champion and a Gold Medalist in the Commonwealth and African Games.
