Track & Field Competes at Cal State Fullerton and Occidental College

A small group of Cougars competed on Friday and Saturday at the Titan Tune-Up and the Occidental Invite.

GREATER LOS ANGELES AREA, Calif. - Azusa Pacific Track & Field competed in the Titan Tune-Up at Cal State Fullerton, and the Occidental Invite at Occidental College on Friday and Saturday.

On Saturday at the Occidental invite, Esther Conde-Turpin competed in the 100 hurdles for the first time since the 2023 season. She clocked 14.05, landing her a spot on the national qualifying list.

Conde-Turpin also competed in the javelin on Friday at the Titan Tune-Up. She threw 44.38m (145'7") to win the event and better her provisional standing.

Molly Olson finished right behind Conde-Turpin in the javelin throw. Olson threw 43.85m (143' 10") for a season-best mark, improving her provisional standing.

Joey Rauwerda competed in the men's pole vault on Saturday, clearing 4.85m (15' 11"). This mark is a season-best and betters Rauwerda's standing on the national qualifying list.

Up Next: Azusa Pacific Track & Field is back in action next weekend, hosting the Franson Last Chance & Multis Meet from Thursday, May 9 through Saturday, May 11.
