AZUSA, Calif. -- The Azusa Pacific women's tennis team earned its seventh 9-0 victory of the season with a decisive win over Hawai`i Hilo at the Cougar Tennis Complex on Friday afternoon.

In the win that pushed the Cougars' record to 12-7 this season, freshman Nicole Arribere picked up her first career singles victory, and did so in impressive fashion. The native of Murrieta, Calif. needed less than half an hour to complete a 6-0, 6-0 victory at No. 5 singles.
 

Senior Bethany Duval played the No. 4 singles position for the third time in her career, and she improved to a perfect 3-0 in those matches with a 6-3, 6-1 win over the Vulcans. Fellow senior Danae Ingwaldson was the first to collect a singles victory on the day, defeating her opponent 6-0, 6-0.
 

Sophomore Valeriia Kashina got her first win in her first try at No. 1 singles as a Cougar, claiming a 6-4, 6-4 victory in the longest match of the day. In total Azusa Pacific won 60-of-74 games in singles with Jackie Resler winning her first match at No. 2 singles 6-2, 6-0.
 

The Cougars were just as dominant in doubles with Natalie Johnson and Kashina improving to 7-5 as a pair with an 8-3 victory at No. 1 singles. Then at No. 2 doubles, Lindsey Yeom and Resler got their 10th win as a pair, defeating the Vulcans 8-1. Hawai`i Hilo forfeited the matches at No. 6 singles and No. 3 doubles. 
 

On Tuesday, the Cougars will be on the road for the last time in the regular season, heading to Cal State L.A. to play the Golden Eagles for the second time in less than a week. On Thursday, the Cougars scored a narrow 5-4 win over Cal State L.A.
