AZUSA, Calif. - The Cougars closed out pre-conference play with a 3-1 loss to Cal State San Bernardino.
How it Happened: A brace from San Bernardino's Rafa Fonseca led the Coyotes to their second win of the season. In the 17th and 18th minute, Fonseca scored back-to-back goals to give the Coyotes an early 2-0 lead.
The Cougars responded just two minutes later to cut the lead in half.

Gabriel Oropeza whose first touch beat his defender and set him up for a right-footed strike into the upper right side of the goal.
The Coyotes extended their lead again in the 55th minute. Azusa Pacific struggled to create opportunities in the second half, only registering one shot.
Up Next: The Cougars have a week-long break before they travel north to Fresno Pacific to open up conference play. Kickoff is set for 4:00 PM.
