THIS YEAR:  All-PacWest honoree Mario Shuteriqi returns with a year's worth of college experience to his credit that makes the sophomore midfielder a key driver of the Cougar offense ... Should be a steady figure in the Cougar starting line-up as he develops a stronger voice and a greater leadership role.

2023: Named All-PacWest second team after leading the Cougars in scoring with 6 goals ... Appeared in 16 games with 13 starts, recording 1023 minutes … The Cougars were 4-0 in games Shuteriqi scored ... In back-to-back wins over Chaminade and Fresno Pacific, tallied 2 goals and an assist in each victory … Finished third in the PacWest in game-winning goals with 3 ... Also had 3 assists on the year.
