THIS YEAR:  Junior Alexis Rodriguez is ready to take over primary duties in goal after spending the past 2 seasons playing behind 2-year starter Leo Moreno ... Mature with the ability to lead the Cougar defense.

2023: Totaled 516 minutes in goal on the season, appearing in 7 games with 6 starts ... Collected 20 saves, helping the Cougars to 3 shutouts... Picked up his own full shutout in the Cougars win over over Fresno Pacific, collecting 5 saves off 12 shots faced ... Also shutout Hawaii Pacific with 3 saves ... Had a season-high 6 saves against Concordia.

2022: Did not appear in a game this year.

HIGH SCHOOL:  Played at California Academy of Math and Sciences in Carson, Calif. ... After his 2020 and 2021 season were wiped out by COVID, he played in goal for the Coyotes during his 2022 senior campaign ... The Coyotes went 6-5-1 overall, 4-4 to finish second in the Coastal League.
