Azusa, Calif - Azusa Pacific swept the visiting Eagles Thursday afternoon by a score of 7-0. With the win, the Cougars moved to 12-6 on the season and continued their winning streak, making it the fourth consecutive set win. 

At No. 1 doubles, Eleonora Liga and Madison Kane picked up a 6-2 win over Tiffany Carillo and Alyssa Zayat. April Wong and Audrey Stewart continued their doubles dominance by taking the No. 2 doubles match 6-2, clinching the doubles point for Azusa Pacific. 

On court No. 3, Wong delivered the first singles point for the Cougars winning in straight sets (6-0, 6-1), her 11th set win of the season. Liga would put the Cougars up by an overall score of 3-0 taking the singles match on court No. 1 in straight sets (6-0, 6-0). 

Stewart followed on court No. 5, winning in straight sets (6-3, 6-1) to give Azusa Pacific a 4-0 advantage. Brooner followed, clinching the fifth point (and set) for the Cougars (6-2, 6-2), improving her record to 3-0 on court No. 4 for the season. 

With the match already in hand, Mikaela Mueller (#6) and Kane (#2) completed the sweep by taking their sets via scores of (6-4, 6-4) on court No. 6, and (6-4, 7-5) on court No. 2. 

By the Numbers: All seven points from the Cougars this afternoon came from set sweeps, making this the fifth 7-0 win on the season. Stewart and Wong improved to 4-1 in doubles on the season, and Liga improved to 16-1 on the season. 

Up Next: Azusa Pacific will be back out at the Munson & Bavougian Tennis Complex on Saturday as they take on the visiting Sea Lions of Point Loma, whom they had a 7-0 set sweep against earlier in the season. Start time is set for 11:00 AM.
