Biography
2022: Named an ITA scholar athlete and earned Academic All-PacWest distinction... Recorded 17 wins at singles play this season… Ended the season with an eight match win streak at singles… Recorded an 11-9 record at doubles play, primarily alongside Audrey Stewart at No. 2 and 3… With a PacWest title on the line, she battled to a third set at the No. 3 matchup, where she clinched the Cougars second consecutive PacWest championship with a break in the seventh game to win the set 6-1… She earned recognition as the Most Valuable Player in the tournament.
2020 (COVID-shortened season): ITA Scholar-Athlete... Academic All-PacWest honoree... Earned a #14 ranking in the final ITA West Region Singles rankings after posting a 6-2 record at the #4 position... In doubles, Wong also went 6-2, playing all but one match with Anna Savchenko in the #2 position... The pairing was ranked 10th in the final ITA West Region Doubles poll.
2019 (Sophomore): Was selected to doubles second-team All-PacWest with partner Anna Savchenko… Appeared in 21 singles matches and 24 doubles matches… Finished with an overall record of 15-3 in singles and 16-6 in doubles… Began the season with six straight singles victories including wins over top-25 nationally ranked teams Hawai’i Pacific (#4), UC San Diego (#18), and Point Loma (#21)... Ended her singles season with five consecutive victories including a win against #7 nationally ranked Central Oklahoma (May 22) 7-5, 6-1… Defeated #10 nationally ranked Academy of Art (April 1) in doubles 7-5 with Anna Savchenko… Was selected to Academic All-PacWest.
2017 (Fall) : Wong was a quarterfinalist at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association West Regional championship ... She won her first three collegiate matches including a three-set win against No. 2 seed Monica Stanikova Academy of Art ... Paired with teammate Jackie Resler made it to the quarterfinals where they fell to No. 2 Jensyn Warren and Amanda Zuidema of Sonoma State 8-2
High School: Played No. 1 doubles for one season and No. 1 singles for two seasons ... Was team captain as a senior and junior ... During her senior campaign went undefeated in singles ... Won league title in doubles as well ... Finished third in the state in doubles ... As a junior helped team to second-place league finish and won the league singles title ... In her first high school season, helped the team to a league title.
