Playing to clinch in doubles, Azusa Pacific earned the point with victories at No. 2 and No. 3. Audrey Stewart and April Wong played No. 2 for the Cougars, and they came out on top with a 6-2 win. At No. 3, Carolyn Brooner and Lilla Plasek earned a 6-3 victory to seal the 1-0 match lead.Â

Four Cougars dominated for 6-0 set victories in singles, highlighted by a 6-0, 6-0 straight set triumph by Mikaela Mueller at No. 6. For Mueller, a true freshman, today's match marked the first time in her collegiate career in which she played in the lineup. Brooner also won in a commanding 6-0, 6-0 fashion, as she took care of business at No. 3. The first court to finish was on No. 2, where Madison Kane took the first set 6-1, and then shut out her opponent 6-0 in the second set for her fourth consecutive singles win. Nora Liga delivered the match-clinching win at No. 1, winning 6-3, 6-0.

April Wong battled for a third set win at No. 4, after she bounced back from a 2-6 first set, with a 6-4 win in the second, and capped off by a 10-4 victory in the super tiebreak.Â

Concordia's lone point came on court #5 (7-5, 2-6, 10-3).
Up Next: Next Saturday, March 5, the Cougars will host Division I Fresno State at 3:00 pm in Azusa. The Bulldogs will enter the match with a 7-2 overall record. Fresno State's only other Division II opponent this season has been Point Loma, and that match ended 7-0 in favor of Fresno State.
