AZUSA, Calif. - No. 9 Azusa Pacific improved to 6-3 on the season with a 6-1 win over Division III Chapman on Wednesday afternoon.Â

The Cougars made quick work of the visiting Panthers in doubles, winning both the No. 1 matchup (Jakob Schnaitter/Leyton Bohren) and No. 3 matchup (Ethan Smith/Dylan Parsley) 6-0. Ryan Nuno and Sam Sippel clinched the doubles point with a 6-1 victory at No. 2

In the singles portion of the match, Sippel got things started with a 6-1, 6-0 win at No. 2, followed by Schnaitter who went 6-2, 6-2 at No. 1 to make the overall score 3-0. Ryan Nuno secured the win for the Cougars, as he won 6-2, 6-1 at No. 3 to make it 4-0 overall.Â

The match wrapped up with a 6-4, 6-2 victory by Bohren at No. 4, and then Cole Rassner bounced back from a first set loss at No. 6 to win in a superset (2-6, 6-3, 1-0 (8)). Chapman's lone win came in the No. 5 singles dual.
