AZUSA, Calif.-- No. 5 Hawai'i defeated No. 24 Azusa Pacific by a final of 20-3 on Wednesday afternoon. The visiting Rainbow Wahine used a strong fist half to pull away from the Cougars, as they turned a 6-0 first period advantage into a 10-2 halftime lead. In the second half, Hawai'i outscored Azusa Pacific 10-1 over the final 16 minutes.
Azusa Pacific was led by senior 
Sarah Adams who scored two goals for the Cougars in the first half. Also scoring for Azusa Pacific was junior 
Hannah Bradley, who was assisted by Adams. Defensively, sophomore Milena Guzman Ortiz led the Cougars with two steals. Junior 
Olivia Lott played all of the first half in goal for the Cougars, finishing with six saves. In the second half, sophomore Gabrielle Mantkya took over as the goalie and finished with one save. 
 
Hawai'i was led by Alba Bonamusa Boix, who scored five goals in the game.
 
Azusa Pacific, 2-7 overall on the season, will travel to Fresno State on Friday, Feb. 21 for a 5:00 p.m. matchup against the Bulldogs.
