LOS ANGELES, Calif.- Azusa Pacific fell 13-8 against #21 Loyola Marymount. The Cougars now sit 3-2 in the Golden Coast Conference and 13-11 overall.

The Lions opened the game with back-to-back goals to gain a healthy lead over the Cougars. In response
Megan Myers registered one for the Cougars, followed by a Lion goal to take a two-point lead over the Cougars.

As the second quarter began the Lions found the net starting a quarter of back and forth scoring.
Britt Harris and
Mar Pastor Alvarez recorded goals one after another. Loyola followed in the Cougars footsteps registering two together. Before the quarter could come to an end Harris notched her second goal along with teammate
Mireia Tutusaus Alcaraz putting in some work closing the Lions lead 6-5 into halftime.

The Cougars were mute as the Lions found the back of the net six times in the third quarter increasing their lead 12-5.

Azusa Pacific entered the final quarter strong never giving up, by tallying three goals, one courtesy of
Annalise Batcheller and two courtesy of
Alex Paxton.  The Lions weren't held silent, scoring one towards the end of the game. Â
The Cougars resume conference play Thursday against San Diego State on the road.
