LA MIRADA, Calif.- Azusa Pacific found themselves victorious in their third match of the week winning 8-1 to Biola.
Valeriia Kashina and
Jackie Resler recorded the Cougars first doubles win beating their opponents 8-1 at the No. 2 position.
Natalie Johnson and
Lisa Schneider won 8-2 at the No. 1 spot as the pairing of
Kara Hinton and
Tatiana Betancourt fell 8-4 in the No. 3 slot.
Single play was nearly perfect as the Cougars won all six while doing so in two sets. Schneider defeated her opponent 6-0, 6-0 at the No. 2 position. No. 3 Kashina recorded the Cougars second singles victory 6-2, 6-0. Johnson clinched the match by winning 6-1, 6-1 in the No. 1 slot. Hinton and Resler downed their opponents 6-0, 6-3 at the No. 4 and No. 5 positions. Betancourt wrapped up the Cougars successful day winning 6-0, 6-1 at the No. 6 spot.
The Cougars return home after a few days on the road to play No. 34 Concordia at 1:00 p.m.
