Santa Clara, Calif. – Azusa Pacific went up against the Golden Coast Conferences top-seeded program San Diego State University in the semifinal game of the conference tournament. The Cougars were defeated 13-7 by San Diego State - who has yet to drop a conference matchup all season.

The Cougars were outscored in the opening quarter as the Aztecs notched four goals while Azusa Pacific couldn't find the back of the cage.
Both programs scored a pair each in the second quarter.
Britt Harris broke the silence scoring the Cougars first goal in the opening minute of the second quarter, along with teammate
Annalise Batcheller finding the back of the net.
The third quarter looked as if the Aztecs were going to shut out the Cougars with their five back-to-back goals early in the quarter until
Megan Myers scored a power-play goal and
Mar Pastor Alvarez notched a goal for herself.
Azusa Pacific outscored the Aztecs in the final quarter three to two as Myers recorded her second goal of the day and Pastor registered her second and third.
With this lose the Cougars move on to face the No. 3 seeded Loyola Marymount University tomorrow at Noon where they will play for third place.
