SURPRISE, Ariz. – Azusa Pacific concluded their season losing 5-3 in today's PacWest tournament match for fifth place against No. 17 Sonoma State University.

The Cougars trailed the Seawolves 2-1 after doubles.
Valeriia Kashina and
Jackie Resler notched a win 8-5 at the No. 2 position for the Cougars only doubles win.
Natalie Johnson and
Lisa Schneider fell 9-8 (7-2) at the No. 1 spot as teammates
Kara Hinton and
Tatiana Betancourt were downed 8-6 at the No. 3 slot.
Kashina tied the score for the Cougars with a 6-0, 6-4 win at the No 3 spot. Schneider recorded a 6-2, 6-2 loss at the No. 2 position as teammate Johnson also fell 6-3, 6-3 to No. 11 Jensyn Warren at the No. 1 slot. Hinton came back after dropping her first set to win 4-6, 6-2, 6-1 at the No. 4 position. No. 6
Jourdan Jefferson won her first set but dropped the next two 3-6, 7-5, 6-4 leading to the Seawolves clinching the match. With the match being decided Reslers match went unfinished 6-0, 3-6, 5-4 at the No. 5 slot.
