As the season comes to an end the Cougars pick up their fourth consecutive win sitting 14-3 overall, pushing for a berth to the NCAA postseason tournament. Beating Point Loma for the second time this year 8-1, opening the day playing singles before doubles.Â

The Cougars only dropped one singles match securing their win going into doubles posting 5-1 after singles. Christian Schmid was the first Cougar to finish, winning 6-1, 6-1 in the No. 2 spot. Marnix Pluim came through for the Cougars recording a 6-3, 6-1 victory at the No. 4 position. Adding to the Cougars success at the No. 1 slot
Oliver Frank earned his 15th singles win 6-3, 6-1 tying with teammate Schmid for the most singles wins this season.
Antonio Pejic not far behind Frank and Schmid tallying his 12th singles win 6-2, 6-1 at the No. 6 spot.
Pascal Engel topped his opponent 6-2, 6-3 at the No. 3 position.
Shepherd Newcomb fought hard winning his first set 6-2, but falling 7-5 (7-6) in the second set forcing the match into the third set 14-12 where Newcomb came up short recording the Cougars lone loss of the day.

The pairing of Frank and Engel improve their success as a pair after beating their opponents 8-5 at the No. 1 spot. Newcomb and Schmid won 8-6 in the No. 2 slot. Roberto Luconi and
Cameron Backman won their last three games to secure their 8-6 win at the No. 3 spot to conclude the Cougars doubles sweep.
The Cougars take a few days off returning for a match on the road Thursday at Biola for a 2:00 p.m. start.Â
