The Cougars split their games today dropping game one against the Leopards of La Verne University 9-8 and beating the Panthers of Chapman University 14-3 bringing their season's overall record to 6-7.

Alex Paxton set the tone for today's game scoring the first goal early in the first. Followed by two La Verne goals, answered by
Annalise Batcheller scoring the final first goal of the first. Harris kept the energy high as she blocked what would have given the Leopards a lead going into the second but instead keeping the score at 2-2.
The second saw a single goal from each team, the Cougars courtesy of
Arianne Yeo increasing the tie to 3-3 going into the third. The Cougars held the Leopards to one goal in the third while
Megan Myers, Mireia Tutsaus Alcatraz, Yeo, and Harris each picked up goals to bring the score to 7-4.
It was a whole different story in the where the Leopards recorded five goals and the Cougars lone goal was made within the last few seconds of the game bringing the final score to 9-8.

With a big first quarter, the Cougars recorded six goals while only allowing one Chapman goal.
Megan Myers recorded two of the six while teammates Prince, Harris, Paxton, and Yeo all contributed to the strong start. Throughout the game, Harris found the net at least once in every quarter for the Cougars.
With a five-point lead going into the second both the Cougars and the Panthers tallied two goals Panthers found the net twice. Azusa Pacific held Chapman scoreless for the remainder of the game. While recording six more goals to finish up the game 14-3 over the Panthers.
