Azusa Pacific was sharp from the get-go in beating Hawaii Hilo 9-0, while not dropping a set in the process.

The Cougars took the upper hand winning all three doubles matches to start the evening off ahead of Hilo 3-0 going into singles. At the No. 1 slot the pairing of
Natalie Johnson and
Lisa Schneider defeated their opponents 8-0. Not far behind them was the No. 3 tandem of
Kara Hinton and
Jourdan Jefferson who recorded their first victory as a pair 8-2. At the No. 2 spot the duo of
Valeriia Kashina and
Jackie Resler tallied their tenth win as a pair winning 8-2, they currently lead the Cougars in doubles wins this season.
Securing their win with six consecutive Cougar victories in singles beginning with a 6-1, 6-0 win by Resler at the No. 4 position. Followed by a 6-0, 6-2 victory in the No. 2 slot by Schneider sealing the win over the Vulcans. Johnson kept with the Cougars contagious winning momentum notching a 6-2, 6-2 win at the No. 1 spot. Both
Nicole Arribere and Jefferson recorded their first singles wins of the season, Arribere taking a 6-2, 6-0 win at the No. 5 position and teammate Jefferson registered a 6-3, 6-0 win at the No. 6 spot to complete the Cougars perfect afternoon.
The Cougars play Saturday after a day off facing No. 19 Point Loma at the Munson and Bavougian Tennis complex on Azusa Pacifics West campus at 11:00 a.m.
