AZUSA, Calif. -- For the second time this week, Azusa Pacific ran into one of the best women's tennis programs in NCAA Division II and couldn't pass the test, dropping a 5-1 decision to No. 7 Nova Southeastern.

Jackie Resler and Valeriia Kashina earned the Cougars only point with a convincing 8-3 victory at No. 3 doubles to improve their winning streak to six matches since their narrow loss to Concordia in the second match of the season.
However, Resler's singles winning streak came to an end against the No. 7 team in the country. After winning her first six matches of the year to boost her winning streak to eight, Resler took a 2-6, 4-6 loss at No. 6 singles ending her streak.
Nova Southeastern won all of the other four matches that finished with an 8-5 win at No. 1 doubles and 8-4 win at No. 2. Then in singles, the Sharks won at No. 2 and No. 4 singles both by the score of 6-2, 6-0.
The Cougars will play No. 4 Barry on Tuesday as they continue the toughest part of their schedule. Azusa Pacific is now 6-3 this season.
