Never in Doubt

AZUSA, Calif. - The Cougars had no trouble in claiming their sixth straight win as they dispatched of Western New Mexico 9-0 on Saturday afternoon.

From the beginning the home team was in control as the 13th ranked squad posted their second straight shutout. Azusa Pacific lost just 20 games in the romp.

The tone was set in doubles play as the Cougars won all but 28 of the games played. At the No. 2 slot Kara Hinton and Lilit Vardanyan didn't drop a single game.

The trend continued in singles play as Azusa Pacific won five of the 12 set by a 6-0 and 6-1 score.

Natalie Johnson and Nicole Arribere posted identical 6-1, 6-0 wins at the No. 1 and No. 6 singles positions respectively.

Saturday's win was the second of a 13 straight home matches. On Wednesday the Cougars host nationally ranked Hawaii Pacific.
