THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. – The Cougars began a busy four-game weekend in two different locations with a pair of games at Cal Lutheran University.
Azusa Pacific 14, Grove City 3
The Cougars had 11 different players find the back of the net as they cruised to the 11-goal victory.

A win was never in doubt for Azusa Pacific as they scored the game's first six goals and never looked back. At the halftime break, the Cougars held a 10-1 edge before scoring their final four goals during the third period.
Azusa Pacific earned six extra-person attack opportunities of which they scored on three of them.
Leading the way offensive was the trio of Megan Myer, Britt Harris and Amy Harms each scored two goals. Maryann Slama and Robyn Fernandez each had three assists to aid in the winning cause. Alba Espinar and Harms had two assists each.
Erica Marquez made five saves in front of the cage.
Azusa Pacific 10, Cal Lutheran 6
A host of players scored two goals as the raced out to an early lead than piled on net finders later. The Cougars offense was peppering the back line of the Regals defense as they registered 23 shots on frame.

Alba Espinar was one of four players to score two goals for the Cougars. In addition to her scoring prowess, she dished out two assists and had a team high four steals.
Maryann Slama, Ashley Taylor and Adrienne Yeo also had two goals for Azusa Pacific. Just as effective in the offensive end was Megan Myers who distributed three assists.
After the first and second periods, the Cougars held leads of 2-0 and 3-2 respectively before the home team rallied. Cal Lutheran took their only lead of the day when Taiana McCuaig scored with 3:37 left in the third period giving her team a 4-3 edge. However, Harris and Mar Pastor scored the final goals of the period as Azusa Pacific took a one-goal lead into the final eight minutes.
Twice in the early moments of the final frame the Regals tied the contest but the Cougars never relinquished their lead. After Cal Lutheran tied it at 6-6 with 6:33 remaining, a Slama goal with 5:35 left gave Azusa Pacific the lead for good. The game all but put away with goals by Taylor and Yeo during the final minutes. Alex Paxton rounded out the scoring with a net finder with 54 seconds left.
Goalkeeper Katie Margot had five saves.
