Coach's Quote

"We are excited for the challenges that our 2025 schedule holds," commented Head Coach Blomquist. "We have some extremely tough road games that will really test the team early on. Whenever you can play strong DII opponents early on it gives you a great idea of the quality of the team and how quickly you can develop team chemistry. The PacWest conference will once again be a gauntlet of fixtures that will require depth and great team spirit."

Non-Conference Breakdown

Azusa Pacific will play six non-conference matches before diving into PacWest competition, beginning with a tough road stretch against RMAC and CCAA opponents.

The Cougars open the season in Colorado, facing Colorado School of Mines (Sept. 4) and Regis (Sept. 6). APU defeated Mines 1-0 last year in Azusa, while this will be just the second-ever matchup between APU and Regis.

The Cougars return to Southern California to meet two CCAA opponents. On September 13, they visit Cal State San Marcos, a team they've beaten six times in a row, and own a 7-1 series lead over. Then, they head to Cal State San Bernardino (Sept. 18).

Azusa Pacific's lone non-conference home match is against Point Loma (Sept. 24). Though both teams are in the PacWest, this contest will not count toward conference standings. APU held PLNU to a draw last season—one of only two teams to do so.

Non-conference play wraps up with a rivalry match at Biola (Sept. 27). Although unofficial, pride is on the line—Biola has only beaten APU twice in the last 15 years.

PacWest Breakdown

Conference play begins October 2 at home against Dominican, followed by Fresno Pacific (Oct. 4). APU has only dropped one of its last 11 against the Penguins. Against the Sunbirds, the series is nearly even—APU leads 29-28.

Azusa then heads to Hawai'i to play Chaminade (Oct. 9) and Hawai'i Pacific (Oct. 11). APU routed Chaminade 7-1 last year and remains unbeaten in the series. They also beat HPU 1-0 last fall.

On October 15, Westmont visits Azusa for a crucial midseason showdown. Westmont joined the PacWest in 2023 and quickly became a force, winning the PacWest tournament and earning an NCAA bid.

APU then travels to Concordia (Oct. 18) and Vanguard (Oct. 22), aiming to end a winless streak against the Golden Eagles and avenge a 1-0 loss to Vanguard in 2024.

Rival Biola visits on October 25, followed by the regular season road finale at Point Loma (Oct. 29).

The regular season concludes with back-to-back home matches against Menlo (Nov. 6) and Jessup (Nov. 8).
