AZUSA, Calif. - After a successful inaugural season as a Cougar, transfer sophomore
Julia Doan was selected to the D2CCA All-West Region Second Team as a utility player. She has also earned All-PacWest Second Team honors and was named as the PacWest Softball Championships Most Outstanding Player this season.
Doan played in 48 games, starting 44 of them, and split time primarily between shortstop and the outfield. Doan posted a team-leading .372 batting average with 51 hits in 137 at-bats, including nine doubles, two triples, and eight home runs. She drove in 28 runs, totaled 88 bases, and recorded a .642 slugging percentage, .431 on-base percentage, and a stellar 1.073 OPS. On the basepaths, she was successful in 12 of 14 stolen base attempts. Defensively, she notched a .943 fielding percentage with 68 putouts and 64 assists.
In addition to her regular season successes, Doan set a new tournament record for home runs at the PacWest Softball Championships, hitting four over the fence over a span of three games.
