AZUSA, Calif. – After capturing the first PCSC Championships title in program history two weeks ago, Azusa Pacific travels five swimmers to compete in the NCAA Division II Swimming & Diving Championships in Indianapolis, Indiana from March 11-15, while diver Allison Ferrer will attempt to seek qualification during the diving preliminary qualification day. 

Montana White will compete in the 1000, 200, 500, and 100 yard freestyles for her individual events. She will also compete in both the 400 and 800 freestyle relays. Mikaela Maemura also qualified for individual events, and will race in the 100 yard butterfly and 100 yard backstroke. Mumera will also compete in both relays.

The Cougars qualified two relay teams- the 400-yard freestyle and the 800-yard freestyle. The 400 will consist of Sydnee Wilson, Aleena Herrera, White, and Maemura. Ellie Sivesind, Wilson, White, and Mumera will swim in the 800.

Ferrer will compete in the diving qualification day, attempting to officially qualify for the one-meter and three-meter dives. 

The Cougars will kick off competition on Tuesday, March 11 as the 800 relay will race in the finals at 1:00 PM EST. 

On Wednesday, March 12 White will compete in the 1000 free trials beginning at 10:00 AM EST. The finals start at 5:30 PM EST.

On Thursday, March 13, Maemura will compete in the 100 butterfly trials at 10:00 AM EST, while White will swim in the 200 free trial. The finals for the both events start at 5:30 PM EST.

White and Maemura will compete again on Friday, March 14. White will compete in the trials for the 500 free, starting at 10:00 AM EST, and Maemura will compete in the 100 backstroke. Both finals begin at 5:30 PM EST.

The last day of competition is Saturday, the 15th. White will compete in her last individual event, swimming in the 100 freestyle. The 400 freestyle relay team will also race. Both trials start at 10:00 AM EST and finals start at 5:30 PM EST.
