Azusa, Calif. - Azusa Pacific track & field competed on Day 2 of the Franson Last Chance Invitational, where six Cougars ran to provisional qualifying marks.
Nicole Warwick had a stand-out performance in the women's 100m hurdles prelims, finishing first in 13.16. This personal best time moves her to the No. 2 position on the national qualifying list and the No. 2 spot on APU's all-time list.
Esther Conde-Turpin wasn't far behind, clinching third place in the prelims with a time of 13.82. This mark moves her up to the 11th spot on the national qualifying list.
In the women's 800m,
Sofia Camacho clocked a personal best 2:07.80, moving to No. 7 on the provisional list. In the men's 800m,
Ben Sumner ran a season-best 1:49.21, securing the fifth spot on the national qualifying list.
Nevaeh Williams ran a personal best of 11.80 in the women's 100m semifinals to earn a spot on the national qualifying list.
Jared Wright shaved over 15 seconds off his personal best in the 5,000m to finish in 14:10.03. This time earns him his second provisional qualifying standard of the season.
