AZUSA, Calif. - Azusa Pacific took the win on senior day, defeating the Golden Eagles of Concordia 4-0 to end the regular season. The #13 Cougars end the regular season a perfect 19-0, which is the best start for the program since 2013.
How it Happened: The Cougars clinched the doubles point via Soeren Grandke and Constantin Barth took their set 6-4 before Cole Rassner and Brody Bohren won on No. 2, 6-2.
Elias Emilio Walter won in straight sets 6-1, 6-2 to give Azusa Pacific a 1-0 lead before Max Schmidhauser earned his seventh win of the season in singles at No. 6, winning in straight sets 6-2, 6-1.
Grandke clinched the match for the Cougars at No. 2 in straight sets once again, 6-3, 6-2 to give Azusa Pacific the 4-0 victory to end the regular season.
On No. 4, Barth was winning 6-3, 5-4 before going unfinished, while Rassner was ahead at No. 3, winning the first set 6-4 and Bohren had also clinched the first set of the match at No. 5, 6-1.
