BAY AREA, Calif. - The Cougars traveled north to Standford University and San Francisco State to compete on Friday and Saturday.Â
Felix Perrier and
Nixon Korir both ran provisional times in the steeplechase at Stanford on Friday. Perrier ran a career-best 8:50.04, improving his previous personal best by over four seconds. His time leaves him ranked at No. 3 on the national qualifying list. Korir ran 9:09.38, landing him the 12th spot on the national qualifying list.Â
On Saturday,
Sofia Camacho ran a provisional time and career-best in the 800 at Stanford. Her time of 2:09.61 ranks her at No. 10 in the nation, and she is tied for No. 5 on the APU all-time performance list.Â
A group of Cougars ran personal bests over the weekend at San Fransisco State.
Jared Wright improved his time in the 5000 by over six seconds, running 14:26.85.
Nico Melendres ran to a career-best in the 1500 in 3:57.92.
Felix Perrier found his second personal best of the weekend in the 800, clocking a time of 1:55.65.Â
