ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - Makel Hubbard concluded day two of the heptathlon with a solid performance in the final three events—60 hurdles, pole vault, and 1000m—securing his first provisional score of the indoor season. Tallying 2,243 points in these three events, he notched a career-best total of 5146 points in the heptathlon, placing him at No. 12 on the national performance list in Division II. In the 1000m, Hubbard achieved a personal-best time of 3:01.75, an improvement of almost seven seconds from his previous record.Â
