MANKATO, Minn. - Azusa Pacific registered six wins at the Maverick Premier #2 hosted by Minnesota State, Mankato on Saturday.Â
Due to races being held on a 200m flat track, all times for running events 200m and up are converted to what they would be if run on a standard 200m banked track.Â
WOMEN
Eliana Saunders opened up the day of first-place finishes in the high jump. She cleared 1.72m (5'7 ¾") to win the event.
Nicole Warwick won the long jump on her 4th attempt with a leap of 5.74m (18'10"). In the shot put,
Hannah Richardson led the field, throwing 14.80m (48'6 ¾") for her second first-place finish of the weekend.
On the track,
Kiayra Holmes found her first victory of the day in the 200m dash, crossing the finish line in 24.88 (24.50 converted) to not only clinch first place but also set a new meet record.
Nicole Warwick also competed in the 60H, where she ran a new career-best of 8.42 to improve her provisional time.
The Cougar's 4x400m relay made a statement in its first performance of the 2024 season.

Kiayra Holmes ran their way to a first-place finish with a provisional time of 3:40.92 (3:38.03 converted). This mark places Azusa Pacific at No. 3 in the country and is both a meet record and a facility record in the event.Â
MEN
Dominic Gonzalez-Shelmire won the 400m dash with a time of 48.84 (47.98 converted), earning his second meet record of the weekend.Â
Brett Olson had two career-best performances on Saturday, throwing 14.24m (46'8 ¾") in the weight throw and 13.98m (45'10 ½") in the shot put.Â
