LINCOLN, Neb. - After an action packed two days, Azusa Pacific wrapped up its second indoor meet in Nebraska, completing competition in the Mark Colligan Memorial. The Cougars earned plenty of personal bests and provisional marks on the day, highlighted by freshman
Esther Turnpin earning a time of 8.44 in the 60m hurdles (NCAA Div II provisional mark), landing her at second place in all-time Cougar history in that event.
In the 60m hurdles,
Nicole Warwick also earned herself a personal best time of 8.57, beating her previous time set in the previous meet by .04 seconds.
In the mile,
Ben Sumner earned himself a personal best in this event with a time of 4:13.48, while
Eline Pinter and
Briseida Garcia Meza also earned themselves personal best times with Pinter finishing at 5:03.60 and Garcia Meza coming in at 5:06.80.
In the long jump,
Jermel Jones II took first place in the event with a mark of 7.04m (23-01.25), and in the 60m
Tyler Howard earned a time of 6.99 after completing the prelims with a time of 7.02.
