LA MIRADA, Calif. – No. 11 Azusa Pacific fell at No. 25 Biola on Saturday afternoon by a final score of 5-2.
The Eagles claimed the doubles point with wins at No. 1 (6-2) and No. 3 (6-4), taking a 1-0 lead into singles.
Madison Kane was able to tie the overall score at 1-1 with a 6-3, 6-3 victory at No. 2, but Biola took the lead back with wins at No. 4 and No. 5. The Eagles would clinch the victory with a three-set win at No. 3.
The Cougars second point of the match was won by Nora Liga at No. 1, where she beat Colbeyshae Emery 7-5, 7-6.
Biola would close out the match with a win on court #6.
Up Next: The Cougars will be back in action this Monday, February 21, when they head south to Point Loma for a 2:00 pm match.
