ST. GEORGE, Utah — After another long day in the lanes, Azusa Pacific swim & dive would finish in third place to tie its best-ever finish at the PCSC Conference Championships Saturday. In addition to the team finish, Montana White was named Swimmer of the Meet while divers Melia Stout and Amy Crayne were selected as the Co-Divers of the Meet. In his first season as the team's dive coach, Jim Luci was named the Dive Coach of the Meet.

Amanda Anderson tallied the second-most points of any swimmer in the meet as the Cougars had the top two swimmers in the PCSC Championships for the first time in program history.

"All the hours of training, all the early mornings, and all the desire to accomplish ended in one of the most successful seasons in Cougar history," head coach Tim Kyle said. "We proved this week that together we can succeed. This team is special! What an amazing four days of competition for APU Swim & Dive! How it Happened (Day 4): In the opening event of the final day, Tessie Scavone placed fourth in 1650 Free and her teammate Hannah Frey took eighth in the same event. 

White then took home her fourth conference crown, this time in the 100 Free with a time of 51.06 edging out the rest of the field by less than three-tenths of a second. Riley Smith took home seventh in the event as she finished as the third-highest Cougar in points on the week.

In the 200 Breast, Anderson and Delanie Gearing finished 2-3 in the event with times of 2:20.87 and 2:23.39 to earn their team valuable points on the final day.

The 200 Fly was the next event and Emily Rigsby took home third place with a 2:08.16 time before she was a part of the final race of the event, the 400 Free relay. The Cougars A team featured Smith, White, Hannah Swailes, and Rigsby which resulted in another third-place finish to cap off the PCSC Championships. 

The Cougars totaled 930.5 points as a team and held off rival BioLa for third place, tying for the highest finish in program history.
