DOUBLES
The Cougars won all three doubles matches to take a 1-0 lead ti begin the contest. The #1 pairing of
Leyton Bohren and
Jesse Haas posted a 6-3 win, the #2 duo of
Ryan Nuno and
Jakob Schnaitter claimed a 6-2 victory, and
Sam Sippel and
Ethan Smith earned a 6-2 win in the #3 match.

SINGLES
Concordia was able to tie the contest at 1-1 when Marlon Wilken defeated Nuno 6-1, 6-3 at the #4 spot. Azusa Pacific bounced back and took a 2-1 lead when Haas beat Jan Simon 6-1, 6-3 in the #5 match. The Cougars increased the match lead up to 3-1 after Bohren won 6-2, 6-2 in the #3 matchup. Sippel clinched the victory for the Cougars with a 6-4, 6-3 defeat of Yassine Smiej at #2, and then Schnaitter won 6-3, 7-6 (6-4) in the #1 match.
Caden Samkutty closed out the contest with a three-set win at #6, beating Otto Heinz 4-6, 7-6 (6-3), 1-0 (10-8).

Up Next: The Cougars will head down south for three matches this upcoming week. The Cougars will have three matches over three days, all being played on the campus of Columbus State in Georgia. The trip begins against West Alabama on Thursday, March 5. Azusa Pacific will then meet Columbus State on Friday, March 6, and then finish on Saturday, March 7 against Flagler College.
