Biography

2020 (junior - COVID-19 shortened season): ITA All-American (Doubles)... Won the ITA Fall West Region Doubles Championship with partner Leyton Bohren… ITA Scholar-Athlete honoree… CoSIDA Academic All-American At-Large Third Team… CoSIDA Academic All-District At-Large honoree... Haas & Bohren were ranked third in the final ITA West Region Doubles spring poll… Went 3-3 in singles... Academic All-PacWest selection.

2019 (sophomore): Was named to doubles first-team All-PacWest with partner Jakob Schnaitter... Appeared in 25 singles matches and 26 doubles matches… He finished with a 16-4 record in singles and 15-9 record in doubles… Won six straight singles matches against Western New Mexico (March 12), UC Riverside (March 16), Daemen (March 16), Colorado Mesa (March 16), and Omaha (March 19). On March 26th he won his match against Middlebury College 6-4, 6-1 who was nationally ranked #2 in Division III at the time… In the number one doubles position he and his partner Jakob Schnaitter won seven straight doubles matches from March 9th to March 22nd… Selected to Academic All-PacWest. 

2017 (fall): Haas beat Adrian Cordova of UCSD Haas 6-1, 6-0 in the first round of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Regional… Haas dropped the second round to No. 7 Benjamin Loccisano of Hawaii Pacific 6-1, 6-4 ... Paired with teammate Ryan Nuno the two won the opening match over Joe Turnquist and Quentin Lau of Biola 8-2 ... Moving on to defeat Shimon Murakami and Otto Heinz of Concordia Irvine 8-4 ... In the semifinals the pair fell 8-5 to No. 3 Gerardo Irarrazabal and Lucas Franco of Hawaii Pacific

HIGH SCHOOL: Played mostly doubles under head coach Tolan Whitlock ... During the two years he played the team posted a 29-3 record

PERSONAL: Son of Chalmers and Kristine ... Has three sisters ... After earning his degree in Kinesiology would like to become a Sports Performance Specialist ... Enjoys lifting weights and running in his free time
