IRVINE, Calif. -- The No. 12-ranked Azusa Pacific women's tennis team didn't drop a set in posting a 4-0 victory against Concordia Monday afternoon. With the win, the Cougars improved to 5-2 on the season.
Doubles: Petra Ivankovic and
Audrey Stewart finished first at the No. 3 position with a 6-2 victory, while teammates
Kara Hinton and
Jacky Wagner posted a 6-4 win at the No. 1 spot to clinch the doubles point. The tandem of
Anna Savchenko and
April Wong wrapped up a sweep of the doubles matches with a 7-6 victory at the No.2 slot before heading into singles.
Singles: The Cougars followed the momentum of doubles and made quick work of the match in their solo efforts. At the No. 5 slot,
April Wong came out victorious with a 6-1, 6-3 win. No. 27-ranked
Petra Ivankovic posted a 6-1, 6-3 victory at the No. 1 position, while senior
Kara Hinton clinched the match with a 6-4, 6-2 win.
