SAN DIEGO, Calif.--The Azusa Pacific men's tennis team picked up its third straight win to open the season with a 4-0 victory over Point Loma Saturday.
RESULTS
DOUBLES: The tandem of
Ryan Nuno and
Leyton Bohren came out first with a 6-4 victory for the Cougars at the No. 2 position. The pairing of
Ethan Smith and
Ronald Kang registered a 7-6 triumph in the No. 3 slot against Point Loma's Mark Vasat and Mark Penner to clinch the doubles point for the Cougars.
SINGLES: Kang picked up the first point of singles with a 6-3, 6-1 win over Tim Soderman in the No. 3 position.
Ryan Nuno gave the Cougars a 3-0 lead in the match after posting a 6-3, 6-2 win over Yuki Okamoto at the No. 2 slot, and
Roberto Luconi clinched the match with a 6-2, 7-5 victory at the No. 6 spot against Jasdeep Paintal.
