REDLANDS, Calif. – Into the win column and with conviction.

The Azusa Pacific women's tennis team posted a sweeping 9-0 victory on Saturday afternoon against the University of Redlands.

The No. 23 Cougars didn't drop a set in the second team match of the season to square their record at 1-1.

DOUBLES: Azusa Pacific mixed things up a bit after Friday's season opener. Petra Ivankovic and Diana Baumgartnere paired together for an 8-4 win at the top slot. Toby Micat and Kara Hinton were quite successful in their debut together as they dropped just one game in the second position.

Courtney Page, in her collegiate dual match debut, teamed-up with Mikayla Rinker to tallying an 8-4 win at the third position.

SINGLES: With a 3-0 lead in their pocket the Cougars continued their success. Miclat won her second straight match at the No. 1 slot 6-2, 6-0 while Ivankovic recorded her first collegiate singles win without dropping a game in the second position.

Baumgartnere may have hit a few bumps in the road but still grabbed a rather convincing 7-5, 6-2 win at the third position. April Wong moved to 2-0 as a collegiate singles player with a 6-2, 6-0 win while Rinker notched a 6-3, 6-1 decision in her favor at the fifth slot.

Tatiana Betancourt was just fine at the No. 6 singles position as the junior won 6-0, 6-1.
