AZUSA, Calif. – The sweet sounds of Coldplay filled the air late on Tuesday evening at the Cougar Soccer Complex.
By virtue of their 3-1 win against Hawai'i Hilo, Azusa Pacific head coach Dave Blomquist was pleased to hear his favorite bands tunes come from the speakers.
HIGHLIGHTS
GOAL BY GOAL – Hawai'i Hilo began the scoring when Bryan Reynoso scored his first goal of the season in the 14th minute. He played a cheeky chip shot over the head of Azusa Pacific goalkeeper Brenden Fix from 15 yards out.
Kaleb Armbrust knotted the just over five minutes later with a blast from the right side that found the far post from 10 yards. Sophomore Arturo Astorga assisted on the play. In the 41st minute Danny Madrigal gave the Cougars the lead for good. He scored his first collegiate goal when he collected a bouncing ball in the box and found the back of the cage.
The final goal of the game came in the 87th minute when Rene Santos scored his first goal of the season. He took a feed from Alexsandar Pumpalovic from the right side and drilled the ball past the goalkeeper.
