The Cougars faced off with one of NCAA Division III's best programs at the Munson and Bavougian tennis complex on the campus of Azusa Pacific. Beating the Sagehens of Pomona-Pitzer 5-4 improving their record 17-3 overall this season.

Results
Doubles saw the Cougars up 2-1 after
Oliver Frank and
Antonio Pejic won 8-2 at the No. 1 position. The pairing of
Marnix Pluim and
Shepherd Newcomb defeated their opponents 8-4 at the No. 3 spot. Falling 8-4 at the No. 2 position
Pascal Engel and
Christian Schmid recorded the Cougars lone doubles loss.

For a brief moment the Sagehens tied things up 2-2 by winning 6-3, 6-1 over Pluim at the No. 3 spot. The Cougars reclaimed their lead after Pejic defeated his opponent 6-2, 6-1 at the No. 5 position. Newcomb fell 6-4, 6-1 in the No. 4 slot.
Roberto Luconi recorded a win at the No. 6 position winning 7-6 (7-4), 6-0. Frank clinched the match winning 6-2, 5-2 at the No. 1 spot. As teammate Engel fell 7-5, 6-3 in the No. 2 slot concluding the match.
The Cougars play again Saturday April 15 at 1:00 p.m. against No. 12 the University of California San Diego.
