AZUSA, Calif. -- For the first time since 2006, the Azusa Pacific women's tennis team collected a fourth consecutive 9-0 victory, defeating Concordia Saturday morning. Along with Jackie Resler's  three-set win to end the match against UC San Diego, the Cougars have now won 37 consecutive team points this season.

However, of the last four 9-0 wins, none were as dominant as the Cougars' win over the Eagles. Azusa Pacific held a 96-19 advantage in games won for its most clean victory of the season. The Cougars set the tone for the match in doubles with three wins with very little error, and all three teams winning nearly all at the same time.

Natalie Johnson  and Danae Ingwaldson  finished first with an 8-0 victory at No. 1 doubles. Resler and Lindsey Yeom  raced to an 8-1 victory at No. 2 doubles. Then at No. 3, Valeriia Kashina  and Bethany Duval  improved to 2-0 as a pair with an 8-1 victory as well.

At No. 2 singles, Kashina won 11 of the first 12 games to take a quick 6-1, 5-0 lead. However, Ellie Johnson got one break back to stay in the match before Kashina eventually served out the 6-1, 6-2 victory.

Just a minute later, Yeom clinched the match with a 6-4, 6-0 win for her first win at No. 4 singles this year. Yeom is now on a five-match winning streak since dropping the season opener and hasn't lost more than four games in any set during the streak.

At No. 1 singles, Johnson proved why she is nationally ranked with a convincing 6-3, 6-1 victory over the No. 6 player in the nation for the NAIA, Ivana Vlakic, who entered the match with a record of 4-2 at No. 1 singles.

Duval won her first singles match of the season with a resounding 6-1, 6-1 victory at No. 6 singles. The senior is now 19-7 in her singles career. Meanwhile, Resler improved to 7-0 with a 6-0, 6-3 win at No. 3 singles.

At No. 5 singles, Sierra Troxel  was the only Cougar to win all 12 of her games, earning a lopsided 6-0, 6-0 victory for her fourth win at Azusa Pacific.

The team's 37-point streak will next be put to the test at Cal State L.A. , which is ranked No. 21 in NCAA Division II. Azusa Pacific had narrow victories of 7-2 and 6-3 over the last year over the Golden Eagles, who defeated Concordia 8-1 on Friday.
