AZUSA, Calif.-- The Azusa Pacific women's tennis team didn't have to sweat much on Monday, but the Cougars did post an impressive comeback early in its 9-0 sweep of Hawai'i Hilo. After trailing 7-3 midway through doubles play, the 10th ranked duo of Emily Harris and Danae Ingwaldson rattled off six consecutive wins, and staved off multiple match-points, to post a 9-7 victory over Emilie Laussen and Anna Hamlin. 

The win secured a doubles sweep, giving the Cougars a 3-0 edge before closing the match with six straight wins to post their third straight 9-0 sweep, and fifth perfect mark of the season. Brejohn McCrary and Samantha Kaneta opened the match with a swift 8-0 victory, just before Lindsey Yeom and Kim Koetterheinrich posted an 8-2 win at No. 3 doubles.

No. 17 ranked Harris followed up hour-and-a-half doubles win with a quick 6-1, 6-0 defeat of Laussen at No. 1 singles. Kaneta sprinted to a 6-2, 6-0 win at No. 4, before McCrary overcame a rough first set to log a 3-6, 6-1, 6-2 victory over Rachel Sugiyama at No. 3 to improve to 6-1 this year.

Ingwaldson rallied for a 6-2, 6-3 win over Hamlin at No. 2, and Stephanie Quan ran through her match on court five with a 6-1, 6-1 defeat of Megan Fujitake.

Bethany Duval closed out the day with a 6-2, 6-1 win against Cassidy Hand at No. 6 to record her fifth straight win. 

Azusa Pacific is now  10-2, and will take on Grand Canyon (Ariz.) on Saturday at 9 a.m.
