Azusa, Calif. -- The NAIA's No. 6-ranked Azusa Pacific posted its fourth straight victory with a 7-2 win over NCAA Division III No. 16-ranked Bowdoin College of Brunswick, Maine.
The Cougars won all 3 doubles matches, and quickly clinched the team victory with the middle of the singles' line-up rolling through at Nos. 3, 4, and 5. Sophomore
Natalie McNall, who teamed with
Emily Ignas for an 8-0 win at No. 3 doubles, put the Cougars up 5-0 and clinched the team win with a 7-6 (8-6), 6-0 victory at No. 3 doubles. The rest was academic with the Polar Bears picking up a pair of 3-set wins at Nos. 2 and 6 singles.
With the win, Azusa Pacific pushes its record to 9-3, while Bowdoin falls to 5-2.
